Course Description

This course introduces the various navigational tools and services of the Internet. Topics include using Internet protocols, search engines,  e-mail, listservers, and other related topics. Upon completion, students should be able to use Internet resources, retrieve files, and use e-mail, and other Internet tools.
This is a four week introductory course taught to individuals looking to gain a basic understanding of the Internet.

Many of the terms we will be looking at over the course of this class will seem foreign to you.  Listservs, e-mail, POP, MIME, and Protocol to name a few.  During this class I am only an e-mail away!  Please feel free to e-mail or call if you have a problem or concern. 

Remember, the key to success in distance education is communication and keeping up with the work.  If you fall behind you WILL feel overwhelmed.  Just remember to have fun...you are about to enter into an exciting journey!
